Artist Statement
Isabel Coopersmith is a Philadelphia based Fiber artist who specializes in weaving, knitting, and natural dyes. With a deep passion for art history, Isabel focuses on the history of craft and how textiles have informed lives from Antiquity to the contemporary. In her own work, she is inspired by the notion of rituals, natural materials, and sustainable textile production.
